Si ha sufrido lesiones, permítanos ayudarle a luchar por su indemnización.

Tras un accidente de trabajo, ¿está obligado el empresario de Nueva Jersey a pagar los gastos de transporte de ida y vuelta al médico?

No. Ley de compensación de los trabajadores de Nueva Jersey makes no provision for the payment of transportation costs to and from the doctor. Likewise, the law does not provide for mileage reimbursement. If you move out of state and have to return to New Jersey for an independent medical examination, your employer does not have to pay for airfare, reimburse the cost of travel, or pay for your mileage.

Although not required, your employer may make arrangements for your transportation to doctor’s appointments or physical therapy sessions. This can be particularly helpful if, for example, you have driving restrictions because of your injury. Your employer benefits if you are able to make your appointments because your recovery time should be shorter. But the employer is not required to make these arrangements, and you are responsible for getting to and from your appointments.
